At last, it’s time to set off for Christmas Eve. All through December, we’ve been wrapping gifts for the people we love, and now they’re ready to be shared. They only just managed to fit in the car. The excitement is almost tangible. It’s hard to sit still when your stomach is full of butterflies and your thoughts keep drifting to the Christmas tree, the festive meal, and all the people you’ll soon be celebrating with. We’re almost counting the minutes. Because Christmas is finally here.
